Kayaking in Budapest
Budapest is a special capital. You not only can hike in the Buda hills and enjoy the touch of nature, but you can also go kayaking in Budapest! Only thirty minutes drive from the center and you can find yourself in the beautiful water world of what we call “the little Danube”.
The Ráckevei-Soroksári Dunaág is a 57 kms long bench of the big and old Danube river. The bench is very popular among the water sport lovers as the water is almost still, the twist is very little. It’s a safe place to start for beginners and fall in love with paddling.
During this half day activity we paddle through romantic narrow lagoons where we explore the water world and all its creatures. If you are lucky and keep your eyes open, you can spot waterbirds, sunbathing turtles and even fish under the water.
We always start the activity with a training about the paddling techniques, safety and proper behaviour on the water. We teach you how to maneuvre the boat and how to be the captain of your kayak.
